Ninh Binh Province enjoys 37 percent increase in number of tourists

In spite of impacts from the global economic downturn and the spread of the A/H1N1 flu, the number of tourists to Vietnam’s Northern Province of Ninh Binh continued to increase since early this year.
Provincial statistics showed that more than 1.6 million tourist arrivals visited the province since early this year, an increase of 37 percent compared to the same period last year. On average, nearly 650,000 tourist arrivals traveled to tourist sites in Ninh Binh, bringing estimated revenue of VND 160 billion.
The results showed the province’s great efforts in tourism business activities. With the growth in the number of tourist arrivals, Ninh Binh is becoming an attractive destination for both foreign and domestic tourists.
Some popular tourist attractions in the province drawing increasing number of tourists are: the Cuc Phuong National Park, the Kenh Ga Resort, the Trang An Eco-tourism Area, the Bai Dinh Pagoda, and the Tam Coc- Bich Dong Tourist Site.
