The discount tours campaign
The discount campaign is being
offered thanks to Vietnam Airlines’ special promotional program for six domestic
air routes from Hanoi for some big travel companies in the North. This program
will run from February 20 to May 30.
Under the discount campaign, Vietran Tour advertises a 4-day tour Hanoi – Can
Tho – Ha Tien – Chau Doc, priced at VND3.5 million/tourist, around VND2 million
down. It also offers other tours, such as Hanoi – Quy Nhon (at 4-star resorts)
and Hanoi – Nha Trang at VND3.5 million/tourist (40% discount), and Da Nang – Cu
Lao Cham at VND2.6 million.
Vietran Tour’s Deputy Director Nguyen Thi Huyen said this is the largest
discount program for many years. The cost of some tours is just equivalent to
the normal air fare.
Hanoi Redtours has introduced seven packaged tours with 30-50% discounts, flying
with Vietnam Airlines. Accordingly, Hanoi – Lao Bao – Dong Hoi tour is priced at
VND2,040,000/tourist, Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An at VND3.3 million, 5-day Hanoi -
Nha Trang – Da Lat at VND4.1 million, 4-day Hanoi – Nha Trang at VND2.9 million,
5-day Can Tho – Chau Doc – Ha Tien at VND3.8 million.
Saigontourist announced a special discount tour, which starts in HCM City, Da
Nang and Hanoi. Its 4-day Hanoi – Ha Long is priced at VND3.1 million, 3-day
Phong Nha tour at VND2.2 million, 5-day Hanoi – Yen Tu – Ha Long tour at VND3.5
million (starting from Da Nang).
“Travel companies are accepting less profit, plus reduced air fare, to organize
these tours,” said Hanoi Redtour’s Deputy Director Nguyen Cong Hoan.
The discount campaign is organized at the call of the Vietnam National Tourism
Administration to stimulate tourism at home and attract international visitors.
