Xuan Dai Bay Proposed to be One of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays
Vietnam’s Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism
Hoang Tuan Anh has asked its relevant agencies to cooperate with the Phu Yen
Culture, Sport and Tourism Department to survey Xuan Dai Bay (Phu Yen Province)
to recognize it as a national relic and create documents to propose it as one of
the world’s most beautiful bays.
Xuan Dai Bay is located in the Cau River District, with a water surface area of
more than 130.4 kilometers square and is shaped by the Co Ngua (Horse Neck)
mountain chain which crosses 15 kilometers along the sea. The bay is surrounded
by green coconut forests.
Xuan Dai Bay has many seductive beaches such as Vung La, Vung Su, and Vung Chao
with islands and peninsulas such as Ong Xa, Nhat Tu Son, Da Mai, and Tai Ma.
Experts praised the potential of tourism development in Xuan Dai Bay. It is
being planned to develop recreation areas, under-water sports, and sea
eco-tourism. It is also famous for precious and rare seafood products, such as,
Cau River crabs, lobsters, and groupers.
To prepare National Tourism Year 2011 in Central and Southern coastal provinces
and Phu Yen, a plan for promotion from now to 2011 is being established,
including advertisements on Phu Yen’s landscapes of Xuan Dai Bay, Da Dia Water,
Vung Ro Relic, Da Bia Mountain, and Mui Dien Lighthouse.
