National Theater Festival 2009 opensc

The National Theater Festival 2009 opened at Ho Chi Minh City Theater, District 1, on September 26, attended by 18 troupes, 26 plays and 60 artistes.
The festival was held by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism’s Performing Arts Department and the city’s Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism.
There were seven members on the jury, with “People’s artist” Doan Hoang Giang as chairman.
The play “Ban hung ca linh thieng” (Sacred Epics) was performed by the Army Theater, which opened the festival.
The festival will close on October 7.
