Thua Thien – Hue province invests 560 million VND in preservation of Cham Phu Dien temple
On September 28th, the central Thua Thien – Hue
provincial Museum of History and Revolution said that the museum will conduct
procedures to preserve Cham Phu Dien temple in Phu Dien commune, Phu Vang
district, Thua Thien – Hue province, with an investment of 560 million VND.
The project will build a guarding post right at the foot of the temple; install
a system of equipments to protect the temple and a sign about the relics. The
temple foundation will be reinforced according to a sustainable way; and sign a
contract with at least two people to protect the temple.
The Cham Phu Dien was recognized as national relic in 2001. In October 2005, the
temple was invested in with over 3.6 million VND for restoration.
According to experts, it is a Cham temple dating to the 8th century and is the
most original Cham temple in the Hai Van mountain pass area.
