Activities launched to celebrate the capital liberation day

A programme, named “Thang Long – Ha Noi, a thousand year meeting”, will be held at Ly Thai To park in the centre of Hanoi to announce the National Tourism Year.
Accordingly, streets around Hoan Kiem Lake will see many traditional performances like martial arts, calligraphy, folk songs etc.
At the programme, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will announce the 2010 Tourism Year to be held in Hanoi.
Hanoi plans to organise many events next year such as: “Hanoians receive friends at home”, “Green Tourism year”, “Excellent Tour Guide Contest” etc.
The first “Long Bien Bridge Memory Festival” will also take place on October 10th and October 11th to celebrate the liberation day of the capital city, and any interesting activities have been planned for this historic bridge, said the organisers.
