Training course on ‘’Information network of Vietnam tourism human resource’’

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) launched a training course on “Information network of Vietnam tourism human resource” for Central and Highland provinces on October 6th in central city of Da Nang.
More than 30 trainees from provincial Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, some tourism colleges in the area joined the course.
The training course was co-organised by the VNAT’s Personnel Organisation Department and European Commission’s Vietnam Human Resources Development in Tourism Project. The launching ceremony had the participation of Mr. Vu Quoc Tri – Co-Director of the EC’s Project; Mr. Nguyen Van Luu – Deputy Director of Training Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism). Teachers of the course were from the VNAT’s Tourism Information Technology Center.
The 2 contents introduced in the training course were:
1. Presentation on premilinary outcomes of survey on Vietnam tourism human resource (to Dec. 2008); analysis and appraisal on current situation and development trend of Vietnam tourism human resource;
2. Instruction on using the information network; consulting, designing and developing database on Vietnam tourism human resource training.
The participants also spent time to discuss a number of issues regarding network interface, general report forms…
The course was well organised with convenient facilities, contributing to the success of the training course.
The next training course will be organised in Ho Chi Minh City.
