Stone tortoise found at Kim Lien Pagoda
Workers have unearthed a stone tortoise while they
were digging to build the foundation for a worshipping tower at the front yard
of Kim Lien Pagoda, Dong Da District, Hanoi.
Master Thich Dam Chung, head of Kim Lien Pagoda said that the tortoise was found
on October 8th.
The tortoise is about 1.5 metres wide, 2 metres long and weighs about one tonne.
The tortoise is now resting at the pagoda, waiting for relevant authorities to
examine it.
