The Khanh Hoa Tourism Promotion Information Center reported that it schedules to coordinate with the Middle Airports Corporation (MAC) to open a meeting to promote more international flights to the Cam Ranh Airport at the end of 2009.
This is an important action to introduce development potential of Khanh Hoa tourism and discuss measures as well as policies to support international airports to open flight the local central coastal province.
As planned, Khanh Hoa will develop three regions for tourism services within next 15 years, including Nha Trang City and neighboring areas with nearly 500 hectares for tourism service centers; Cam Ranh Town and neighboring areas with nearly 1,500 hectares for the exploitation of rammers, bays, mountains, and sand-bank for sea tourism; and Van Phong Bay with nearly 1,350 hectares.
The opening of more international flights to the Cam Ranh Airport is expected to attract more tourists to there.
In the first seven months this year, the number of tourists to Khanh Hoa reached 157,000, earning a turnover of more than VND153 billion, an increase of more than 8.3 percent.
