Germany helps to conserve Hue relic
The Germany Foreign Ministry will provide nearly 3
billion VND to conserve the Buu Thanh gate and screens of King Tu Duc tomb, part
of Hue ancient capital’s relic system. The project, worth in total 3.4 billion
VND, will help preserve and reveal the aesthetic and historical value of the
monument, following the international standards regulated in UNESCO’s 1964
Venice Charter on the conservation and restoration of monuments and sites.
The restoration will be undertaken by a skilled technical staff from the Centre
for Hue Relic Conservation.
