Hoi An providing lively festivities in Hanoi
Hanoians will have the chance to see dancing, hear
bai choi folk songs and taste regional cuisine from Hoi An and Champa at the
Quang Nam Culture and Tourism Week, held in the capital city from November
20-23.
The My Son Sanctuary in Quang Nam province.
Held at the Vietnam Cultural and Art Centre in Hanoi, the week will celebrate
the 1000th anniversary of Hanoi and the 5th anniversary of the UNESCO’s
recognition of Hoi and My Son sanctuary as world cultural heritage sites.
The Quang Nam Culture and Tourism Week will introduce Hoi An ancient town, My
Son sanctuary and Cu Lao Cham as well as products of traditional craft villages
like Thanh Ha pottery plus Hoi An lanterns and brocades.
“Night in Old Hoi An” and “Fanciful My Son Night” will be held every evening and
will feature key artistic and cultural events, including folk music and dance
performance and a food festival where visitors can try famous dishes like cao
lau, hoanh thanh and yen sao.
