2,000 year-old bronze objects were unearthed
A set of 2,000 year-old bronze objects were
unearthed by Tran Xuan Quyen while building his house in Phuc Dien, Thach Dien,
Ha Tinh.
According to Ho Bach Khoa, vice head of the provincial Department of Culture,
Sport and Tourism, the set, found at 50-70 cm underground, includes 2
spread-bladed axes and an unknown object due to its broken shape. In addition,
another 8cm-high object, which researchers cannot name, consists of two parts
with a square-shaped lower part.
Researchers said that these objects, dating back to the Dong Son Civilization,
feature the most illustrious period of the ancient Vietnamese civilisation,
dating from around 2,000 years ago.
