Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum opens again from November 7
President Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum and the monument
for martyrs will open its doors again from November 7.
The mausoleum was closed in early September for by the state scientific council.
It gathered 13 Vietnamese and Russian experts to check and assess the body of
President Ho Chi Minh after 40 years of maintenance.
The council said that the body of President Ho Chi Minh has been preserved very
well. Experts also suggested maintenance measures for subsequent years.
Since the day the mausoleum opened in 1981, it has welcomed more than 37 million
people, including nearly 4.9 million foreign visitors.
Before this year’s closure - on the National Day (September 2nd), over 32,500
people visited the mausoleum, the highest number in a day so far.
