War memorabilia displayed in Ha Noi
Some 450 war items are on display at an exhibition
called Everlasting War Keepsakes which runs until November 10 at the Viet Nam
History Museum in Ha Noi. The exhibition features arms, medals, soldiers’
belongings, photos and letters, all selected from 5,300 keepsakes collected from
a campaign launched in July last year by the Viet Nam War Veterans Association.
The organisers praised people who donated a large number of objects to the
display, such as former General Secretary Le Kha Phieu and General Nguyen Van
Ich who gave 312 letters he and his wife wrote to each other from 1962 to 1975.
