Visa exemption to be negotiated with some countries
The PM authorized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
(MoFA), in coordination with relevant ministries and agencies, to negotiate with
Egypt, Italy, Lithuania and Spain about agreements on visa exemption.
The PM gave nod to the contents of the draft agreement between the Government of
Viet Nam and the Egyptian Government on visa exemption for diplomatic, special
and business passport holders.
He also okayed the similar drafts between Viet Nam and Italy, Lithuania, and
Spain on visa exemption for diplomatic passport holders.
The MoFA is assigned to sign the agreements with representatives of the four
governments.
So far, Viet Nam has signed 57 agreements on visa exemption with 55 countries
and 54 documents have come into effect.
