Hoi An launches tourist promotion programs

     The city of Hoi An will, in co-operation with tourist services firms, launch a series of tourist promotion programs to attract more visitors, according to Truong Van Bay, the Chairman of the Hoi An People’s Committee in Quang Nam Province.
The programs will start from March 26th, and last until the beginning of April, 2009.
Under the programs, visitors who stay more than two days in 4-5 star hotels in Hoi An will enjoy free meals in the hotels, and 10-30 percent discount vouchers for use while visiting local landmarks and historical relics and buying souvenirs at shops and eating at restaurants.
For those who stay in 2-3 star hotels, they will get free breakfasts at the hotels, and 10-20 percent discount vouchers for use while purchasing services in the hotels’ beauty salons.
In addition, tourists to Hoi An during this time will receive several other low-price tourism services and gifts from travel agents.
Tourism firms that join the programs will be announced to public, and visitors to Hoi An will be informed of the new tourism promotion programs, said Bay.
