Inspiring music promised at European music fest next week
Artists from seven European countries will join
their Vietnamese counterparts in a twelve-day music festival starting on
November 26 in Hanoi.
Germany’s Signum Quartet, the Duo Gazzana from Italy and Dutch piano artist Mike
Del Ferro are among the artists who will perform at the festival.
Although the number of participant countries is fewer than last year, the
festival promises to inspire audiences with a new combination of artists and
music styles, said Sean Doyle, head of European Commission delegation.
Featuring various kinds of music from jazz to pop, the annual festival will last
two nights at the capital’s Tuoi Tre (Youth) Theater before moving to Ho Chi
Minh City Conservatory of Music.
The event is held by Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture – Sports – Tourism in
cooperation with the European Commission in Vietnam and the embassies of seven
countries: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.
Free tickets are available from Thursday at Hanoi’s Goethe Institute (No.56-58
Nguyen Thai Hoc Street); Hanoi’s French Culture Center (No.24 Trang Tien
Street); and HCMC’s Goethe Institute (No.335/4 Dien Bien Phu, District 3).
