Flowers, fireworks to welcome Tet in HCM City
Flowers, fireworks, and musical performances will
all be part of HCM City’s Tet (Lunar New Year) festivities from February 11 to
16 next year.
Like in previous years, Nguyen Hue Street will become a "flower street" reserved
for pedestrians.
From February 11 to 16 – the Lunar New Year falls on the 14th – the street will
be covered in flowers and trees from many parts of the country, including Ha Noi
peach blossom trees, Sa Dec kumquat trees, HCM City’s apricot flower trees and
Da Lat roses.
Fifteen-minute fireworks displays will be set off at seven spots around the
city.
Special music shows to herald the arrival of the New Year will be held
throughout the city, with the biggest one to be in front of Sunwah building on
Nguyen Hue Street.
