Sa Huynh – Champa Museum opens in Quang Nam
The Museum of Sa Huynh – Champa Culture has opened
for visitors in Tra Kieu, Duy Son commune, Duy Xuyen district, in the central
province of Quang Nam after one year of construction.
The exhibition displays 200 objects from ancient Sa Huynh – Champa
civilizations, such as Go Dua jar tomb, pottery pots and vases, stone-made
altars and jewelries.
Through the items, the museum aims to help visitors understand the fundamental
characteristics of the Sa Huynh culture, which existed between around 2,000 to
2,500 years ago.
The collection of Champa antiques at the museum also reflects the famous culture
which was present in Duy Xuyen District thousand years ago.
