Dalat Flower Festival crowns Ambassador

Miss Vietnam Tourism 2008, Phan Thi Ngoc Diem, has been selected as Ambassador for the Dalat Flower Festival, which will take place in early 2010.
Ngoc Diem will pose in a special set of advertisements touting the beauty of the city of flowers. She will also join in many festival activities. The first runner-up of Miss Vietnam Tourism, Nguyen Minh Ngoc Tram, will also participate.
Dubbed “Dalat – The City of Flowers,” the festival’s opening ceremony will be held on January 1, 2010. Nearly 3000 professional and amateur artists will participate in the celebrations, which last until January 4. The entertainment will comprise flower-related events like the flower orchestra, flower road, flower tower and the old flower street.
Ngoc Diem will meet with visitors during the “Rendezvous of Love” program scheduled for December 31 2009 through January 1 2010.
An event called “New Eve of Roses” will take place from 10-12pm on December 31 at the Xuan Huong Lake, gathering the Flamenco band, some dancing troupes from HCM City and famous singers.
This will be the third flower festival in Dalat following the ones held in 2005 and 2007.
