More than 26,200 tourists visit Con Dao Island in 2009

The management board for tourist sites in Con Dao Island (Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province) attracted an additional 1,948 tourists in November 2009, raising the figure in the first 11 months to 26,225, an increase of 35% compared to the same period last year.
This figure includes 1,830 foreign tourists, 46 percent of the year’s target. However, the total number of tourists staying in Con Dao is 24,968, with 46,504 days. The island earned a tourism turnover of VND27.25 billion in the first 11 months this year, an increase of 54% compared to the same period last year. The island has had 21 projects invested in the tourism sector over the past 11 months.
