Antiques to be displayed at Hanoi ancient citadel during Tet holidays
Antiques will be on display at the olden French-style building in Hanoi’s
ancient citadel to help Hanoians and tourists understand more about 1000 years
of Thang Long – Hanoi culture. Flowers and bonsais will be also displayed.
According to vice chairwomen of Hanoi City People’s Committee Ngo Thi Thanh
Hang, the city planned 90 hectares to move military units in Hanoi’s ancient
city.
The Ministry of Defence will move its units out of the south of the Kinh Thien
palace and areas surrounded the Flag Pillar, and hand over the ancient citadel
area to Hanoi.
The report of Hanoi city People’s Committee pointed out that 34 key works to
mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi need to be completed in 2010,
including 19 cultural and social works and 15 technical infrastructure works.
