Quang Ninh prepares for Ha Long Tourism Festival 2010

The Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee has held a meeting to discuss organising the Ha Long Tourism Festival 2010, which will take place in Bai Chay and Ha Long City from April 29th to May 2nd, according to the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The event, linked with the East Asia Inter-Regional Tourism Forum (EATOF), projected to be held in Quang Ninh in 2010, and the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Ha Noi, will include a Ha Long Festival Carnival, a programme titled “Ha Long towards a thousand years of Dong Do-Ha Noi”, an international unicorn-dragon dance contest, a Miss Ha Long pageant contest, a culinary festival, and an inter-regional fair.
All activities will focus on promoting the Quang Ninh tourism sector, as well as calling on visitors to vote for Ha Long Bay as a world natural wonder.
