Central region receives thousands of tourists
The central city of Da Nang on January 2 welcomed 600 foreign tourists who
arrived on board the Azamara Quest ship. Meanwhile, the Sai Gon Travel Service
Company (Saigontourist) has brought nearly 1,000 visitors to central cities of
Da Nang and Hue from Jan.1-5.
In addition to the usual sightseeing schedule, tourists will be feasted on the
occasion of the new year.
Earlier, Da Nang city also received 150 Japanese visitors on December 31, 2009,
who travelled on the first Fukuoka-Da Nang charter flight. Apex Vietnam Company

Japanese tourists in 2010.
2010 is also expected to be a good year for outbound tours in the central
region, with the recent launch of Da Nang-Taipei air service. Vitours travel
company, in coordination with the Taipei’s TransAsia Airways Airline, on January
2 sent the first group of tourist to Taiwan’s Taipei on a five-day, four-night
