Daily flights between Phu Quoc and Ho Chi Minh City increased to 10

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has increased flights on the Phu Quoc – Ho Chi Minh City route from 8 to 10 a day from January 1st until the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday because the number of passengers reserving flights to Phu Quoc (Southern province of Kien Giang) increased sharply.
The Phu Quoc – Rach Gia still remains one flight a day.
In 2009, the Phu Quoc International Airport served 2,930 safe flights on the Phu Quoc – Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc – Rach Gia routes and vice versa, an increase of 774 flights from 2008, with 315,000 passengers (including more than 44,000 foreigners.)
