Sa Pa likely to see snow

The Lao Cai provincial Hydro Meteorological Forecast Center (HMFC) said it is likely to snow in Sa Pa on the nights of January 13 and 14.
The Sa Pa meteorological station reported that the temperature has declined by three to four degrees Celsius from the cold spell and drizzle.
The Lao Cai HMFC said the cold spell has spread from the Northwest mountain region to North Central provinces and is considered favourable for seasonal diseases to break out.
On January 13, classes began later than usual in some schools in the mountain districts and some were even closed due to the adverse weather.
Local authorities also helped people protect their cattle and crops from the cold.
Lao Cai province has already completed preparations to deal with the cold weather.
Many tourists, meanwhile, are enjoying the cold frost and drizzle in Sa Pa.
