Taking a trip to Vinh Hy Bay
Vinh Hy Bay, one of the
country's four most beautiful bays with unspoiled natural scenery, is a perfect
destination for ecological tours. The bay has become popular with local and
international tourists thanks to the "Awaking Vinh Hy" tour offered by Saigon-Ninh
Chu Hotel.
Vinh Hy Bay is located in Ninh Thuan Province in the "tourism-triangle" of
Vietnam alongside Nha Trang and Dalat cities, with natural landscapes of long
cactus sand banks, calm sea and the legendary Cham culture.
The province is famous for many tourist attractions including Nam Cuong red sand
dunes, Nai lagoon Krong Pha hot spring, Lo O stream, or cultural features like
Poklong Garai tower, Bau Truc pottery and My Nghiep brocade village.
However, Vinh Hy Bay remains the most attractive place where the most beautiful
coral reefs in the country can be found according to a survey by the United
Nations' environment program. As an eco-tourist spot in Nui Chua National Park,
the bay has preserved its rural beauty with white sandbanks circling steep rocky
mountains and streams babbling extensive green forests.
From Phan Rang City, the trip to Vinh Hy Bay covers a distance of 40 kilometers
through rolling mountains and hills lying on deep-blue sea water.
Visitors to Vinh Hy Bay can stay at the four-star Saigon-Ninh Chu Hotel, the
largest accommodation base in Ninh Thuan Province under the Saigontourist
Holding Company. The hotel offers participants of the "Awaking Vinh Hy" tour a
variety of eco and cultural destinations as well as many interesting
teambuilding games this summer.
The car journey starts in HCMC including a breakfast at Van Thanh Park and lunch
at Mui Ne beach in Phan Thiet City. Travelers will reach Ninh Thuan Province in
the afternoon. There they can learn about the Cham culture at Poklong Garai
tower, a special building reflecting the essence of the Cham ethnic group's
architecture.
On the next morning the trip to Vinh Hy Bay begins on a glass-bottom across Ba
Dien (Mad lady) beach to enjoy diving, bathing, and seafood. When night falls,
tourists can take part in exciting "Mission Impossible" teambuilding games and a
dinner gala on the beach in front of Saigon-Ninh Chu Hotel.
On the last day of the trip, tourists will go to Cham Bau Truc pottery village,
one of the oldest such villages in South-east Asia where all distinctive baked
products are hand-made. My Nghiep brocade village is also a must-see to learn
about beautiful brocade products and some features of the Cham culture and daily
life of local residents.
The package tour is priced from US$95-US$130 depending on the number of tourists
and includes car, four-star hotel, food and drinks, sightseeing fees, and
teambuilding games.
