My Khe beach enters the top-ten list

My Khe in Da Nang city has recently been selected by Australia as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in Asia, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Phuc Linh said on January 13th.
To attract tourists to My Khe beach, Da Nang city drew a programme, aiming to improve the quality of services and reinforce measures to protect the environment.
Under the new programme, local authorities and people will clean the beach and maritime environment.
Although facing negative impacts of the global economic recession and A/H1N1 flu, My Khe and other beaches in Da Nang still received more than 1 million visitors in 2009 and the number of tourists to Da Nang soared during the New Year holiday, said Mr. Linh.
