Cultural event to be held for Tet holiday
The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology will organise a Lunar New Year program with a
number of regionally-representative cultural activities from February 19th to
21st this year.
The event will include gong shows and dances performed by a GieTrieng ethnic
minority group from Kon Tum province; folklore singing by a Thai ethnic minority
group from Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province; water puppet shows from Ninh
Giang district, Hai Duong province; games of tug of war and swinging, and other
activities.
Notably, participants at the event will have a chance to taste specialty foods
by the Tay ethnic group in Lang Son.
