Foreign media hails Hanoi as ideal hotspot in 2010

The website of U.S.’s TripAdvisor Media Network, www. independenttraveler.com, has chosen nine hotspots that tourists can visit in 2010. Hanoi ranked third among the nine hotspots because of the upcoming Thang Long-Hanoi 1,000th anniversary and national tourism year 2010.
Previously, Australia’s website travel.com.au listed Hanoi and Halong Bay among ideal destinations for families in 2010.
The website said that Hanoi and Halong Bay possess not only beautiful natural landscapes, historical and cultural depth, but favorable weather conditions for travel.
The French online L’Internaute magazine also selected Hanoi among 52 destinations in 2010.
Introducing the ideal voyage program for 52 weeks in 2010, the article “52 voyages pour 2010" (52 voyages in 2010) published in the Tourism column of L’Internaute suggested tourists visit Hanoi in week 48.
The article advised tourists to visit Hanoi because of its National Tourism Year 2010 and the great festival of 1,000 years of Thang Long – Hanoi.
The capital’s tourism sector is now focusing on improving the quality of tourism products and completing projects to attract and welcome more tourists during 2010.
