Project finalized to celebrate Hung Kings’ death anniversary
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is
finalising a project to commemorate the death anniversary of the Hung Kings and
celebrate the 2010 Hung Temple Festival.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, who is also head
of the State steering committee for the organization of major events in
2009-2010. He said the project, including an incense offering and ritual
ceremonies, will soon be submitted to the Government for consideration.
Under the project, a wide range of activities will take place in the northern
province of Phu Tho and its surrounding areas from April 14 to 23 (from the
first to the tenth day of the third lunar month). Major events will be held at
the Hung Temple historical relic site in Viet Tri city.
Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan authorised the Minister of Culture, Sports and
Tourism to make a report on the costume of the master of ceremony for the grand
celebration of the Hung Kings’ death anniversary and the Hung Temple Festival
and submit the report to the Political Bureau for approval by February 5.
