Go on a pilgrimage
Making pilgrimages to pagodas in the early of the
lunar year is a custom of Vietnamese people. Some Vietnamese travel firms have
recently launched pilgrimage tours to help visitors learn about Buddhism in
Vietnam.
VietNamNet follows a three-day tour to ten pagodas in six southern provinces:
Tien Giang, Vinh Long, Soc Trang, Can Tho, Dong Thap and An Giang. They are An
Quang, Vinh Trang, Ngoc Vien, Kh’leang, Bat Pagoda, Quan Am (Goddess of Mercy),
Van Linh, Phat Lon, Ba Chua Xu Temple, and Tay An Co Tu. Each pagoda has its own
characteristics, depending on its branch of Buddhism.
