More Accor hotel opens in Vietnam
French hotel management group Accor Tuesday put
into operation its 12th Vietnam-based hotel in central Hue City. The Mercure Hue
Gerbera Hotel is also the group’s third hotel in Vietnam operating under the
brand Mercure, after the Mercure Hanoi La Gare Hotel in Hanoi and the Mercure
Dalat Hotel in Central Highlands Dalat City.
Situated at the prime location on Le Loi Street, the four-star hotel includes
110 guest rooms with views of the Perfume River, a landmark of the former
imperial city.
It also has a spa, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a lounge bar, a
restaurant and conference and banquet facilities.
The Mercure Hue Gerbera Hotel also feature the Le Bordeaux Restaurant offering
set menus and a la carte cuisine comprising of international and local Hue
delicacies.
Mercure is known for its facilities which blend classic and contemporary styles
that reflect the hotel's local personality.
It is the second largest hotel network in the world, outside of North America,
in terms of the number of rooms.
Accor is one of the world’s leading hotel managers with a network of more than
4,000 hotels in 90 countries.
The group, which is managing 12 hotels across Vietnam under the Sofitel, Novotel
and Mercure and Grand Mercure brands, is planning to operate 20 hotels in the
country by 2011.
