Posha Inu Cham Towers attract int’l tourists
Posha Inu Towers, seven kilometers northeast of
Phan Thiet City and located on Ong Hoang Hill, attracted over 2,500
international tourists to visit and enjoy Cham ethnic artistic performances
during the Tet holiday.
There were about eight shows by Binh Thuan’s Cham troupes with many outstanding
music, dance and instrument performances, giving tourists a chance to enjoy the
traditional Vietnamese New Year as well as to learn more about Cham culture and
arts.
According to statistics of Binh Thuan Province’s Department of Culture, Sports
and Tourism, during the first ten days of lunar January, Phan Thiet City
attracted about 60,000 tourists, of which 11,000 were international tourists
mainly from Russia, Germany, the U.S., Korea, Sweden and France.
Apart from improving service quality, resorts in Ham Tien-Mui Ne areas such as
Saigon-Mui Ne, Phu Hai, Seahorse, Novotel, Tien Dat, Bamboo Village, Terracotta,
Romana and Coco Beach, also offered many attractive programs to ensure tourists
a meaningful and unforgettable Tet. During the holiday, room occupancy hovered
at 100%, up by 30% in comparison with the previous month. Binh Thuan Province
welcomed 163,500 tourists during Tet and gained about VND150 billion in
turnover.
*Authorities in Phan Thiet City have granted a license for Hai An Company to
spend VND539 billion developing a complex of ecotourism site and luxury resort
named Hai An Resort and Spa.
The project will cover 140.6 hectares in Tien Thanh Commune, Phan Thiet City and
feature villas, resorts, gyms and sports and entertainment areas to offer many
attractive tourist products. Scheduled to be operational after two years of
construction, the project expects to contribute to the tourism development of
Tien Thanh-Ham Thuan Nam tourist area and offer more options for tourists to the
city.
