Van Quan festival impresses visitors by traditional martial arts

Besides the procession of the village’s god and folk games, martial art shows performed by villagers at the Van Quan village festival in Ha Dong district, Hanoi, were unbelievable.
The festival has existed for hundreds of years. It is organized each five years, on the 15th-16th of the first lunar month. The first day is for rituals and the procession of the village’s god to the village’s temple. The second day is for folk games and art performances by the villagers.
