City to launch Tourism Day Festival

The 6th annual Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Day Festival will promote the burgeoning metropolis as a prime Vietnam travel destination this month.
The festival, from April 8-11, aims to capitalize on pre-celebrations of the 35th anniversary of Liberation Day on April 30, and International Labor Day on May 1.
The event, in which 76 companies and 17 official city and provincial authorities will participate, will include a tourism fair promoting travel products, as well as a parade, a culinary festival, singing and folk music competitions and a photo exhibition about HCMC.
The event will take place at District 1’s September 23 Park on Pham Ngu Lao St. and organizers expect to receive 100,000 visitors.
