Travel firms ready for HCMC Tourism Day

Domestic travel agencies are ready for the sixth HCMC Tourism Day starting Thusday at September 23 Park in HCMC’s District 1 with many activities until Sunday, April 11. The event is a chance for tour operators to introduce their tourism products and learn more about the demands of customers.
Youth Tourist Joint Stock Company (YTC) joins Tourism Day with tourism trivia games and singing with idols. Its booth will introduce many tours departing on Reunification Day (April 30) and Labor Day (May 1) with special promotions.
Vietravel in association with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Singapore Tourism Board will hold Thai and Singaporean style interaction games called Tourism Journeys with presents from Thailand and Singapore. Vietravel will offer new tours for the upcoming public holidays, coupons worth over VND50,000 and lucky draws for attractive prizes. In addition, there will be cultural and artistic performances.
Lua Viet Tours will demonstrate traditional careers such as making gio papers and weaving.
HCMC Tourism Day is an annual event gathering enterprises in the fields of tourism, hotels and restaurants. This year’s event expects over 100,000 people to join music contests, southern cuisine festivals and exhibitions of fine images of HCMC.
