The heat is getting to Ho Chi Minh City. We’re tired, irritable and even depressed. Some have tried to escape the sun’s stinging rays in the shade of a tree or in the shelter of an air-conditioned room.
But what better way to flee the heat than by tying on a few cold ones at the Windsor Plaza Hotel’s second annual Beerfest Saigon?
Sponsored by San Miguel Beer, the four-day keg-party (May 6-9) will help heat-struck citizens take the edge off with a variety of bitter, sweet and tangy beers, both domestic and foreign.
Hosted at the Jade Ballroom on the 7th floor in the Windsor Plaza Hotel, the beer fest features brands from America, Germany, Russia, Australia and the Czech Republic.
The party starts at 6:00 p.m. and ends “late night” on Thursday and Friday. It will start from 3:00 p.m. till “late” on Saturday and Sunday.
The Beerfest is a splendid destination to rendezvous with friends, colleagues and/or business partners. Admission costs VND400,000 (US$21), including tax.
One ticket buys one beer at each of the event’s many beer stalls. Admission also includes a delicious buffet, a free souvenir beer mug and a shot to win a lucky draw.
Enjoying seconds, thirds and maybe fourths with relatives or friends, customers can also participate in a range of family-friendly games.
After enjoying all the free beer at each booth, customers can buy tokens to exchange for more beer.
A variety of special ales, pale ales and other unique drinks will be on tap.
Vibrant pop bands and hot rock bands provide entertainment all day and night.
