Young people are eager for backpack tours

Many young people prefer backpacking tours around the country, especially in the high mountains of the Southern and Northern provinces.
The long holiday marking the Victory Day and May Day is a good opportunity for such travelers. Young people are sharing experiences and using online forums to make plans for their holidays.
“Climbing Fansipan mountain 30-4”, “Travel to China” and “Trans Laos by bike” have attracted a number of adventurers.
Many also choose climbing the famous mountain which is considered to be the “Roof of Indochina”.
Tourist sites in Northern provinces and beautiful beaches in Central provinces such as Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang will be destinations of many young people from Northern provinces.
Meanwhile young people in Southern province prefer traveling to southwestern provinces, Con Dao Island and Cambodia.
A large number of travelers prefer riding bikes to be economical. They want to set up their tours themselves in order to save money and have much time to explore and spend time with friends.
However, accommodation expenses remain another concern.
Thu Trang, a young traveler, said prices were very expensive in some tourist sites where she and her friends visited last year. This year, she and her friends plan to travel to Cambodia by road.
“Expenses for the Cambodia journey is equal to some domestic tours, however, the service quality is better,” she said.
Rooms in some famous tourist sites such as Ha Long Bay, Danang City and Nha Trang City are still available. However, the price of these rooms has increased by 10% to 20%. A single room costs 600,000 to 800,000 VND at the moment.
According to Phan Tat, a staff at Songdatour Travel Company, tours to Ha Long Bay are more expensive due to increase in accommodation costs. Prices of other luxury tours on cruises such as Bhaya Cruise, Emotion Cruise, and Oriental Sail are also higher than last year.
