Uncle Ho’s birthday celebrated nationwide

Late President Ho Chi Minh’s 120th birthday celebrations will be held across the country, at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Martyrs’ Monument and the Hanoi Cultural Friendship Palace on May 18, 2010.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a national project to celebrate Ho Chi Minh’s 120th birth anniversary and the UNESCO’s 20-year recognition of Ho Chi Minh as a national liberation hero and the most eminent cultural activist of Vietnam.
The celebrations will be broadcast live throughout the country.
During the event, several diverse activities will be held such as a seminar to review the three-year campaign to compose works of arts and literature on President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, a lotus village festival and an international symposium to mark President Ho Chi Minh’s 120th anniversary.
