Hanoi/ Ho Chi Minh City – Shanghai air route opened

The Vietnam Airlines (VNA) has recently launched a new direct air route from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Shanghai. Vietnam Airlines will provide three flights a week departed from Hanoi, on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and four flights a week departed from Ho Chi Minh City, on every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday to this Chinese city.
This is the fifth direct air route between Vietnam and China, after Beijing, Kunming Guangzhou and Hong Kong, bringing VNA’s total flights between the two countries to 30 every week.
On this occasion of the new route opening, Vietnam Airlines offered discount fare of CNY 1,800 (around US$ 264) for a return ticket from Shanghai to Hanoi and CNY 1,900 (around US$ 278) for a return ticket from Shanghai to Ho Chi Minh City (duty and other charges are not included) from April 1 to May 31.
