Jetstar Pacific launches free ticket deal

Low-cost airline Jetstar Pacific Tuesday launched a buy one, get one free ticket deal for travel in September and October this year. The “Take a Friend for Free” program applies to travel between September 7 and October 27 on the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route and flights from the two cities to Danang.
On flights from HCMC to Hai Phong, Hue, and Vinh, the travel period is between October 5 and 27.
There is a blackout period from October 10 to 15 for one-way tickets from Hanoi to Danang and HCMC and between September 29 and October 9 from Danang to HCMC and Hanoi.
The promotion, applicable to several flights on the routes but not all, is available until May 6.
From Thursday, after the “Take a Friend for Free” program ends, the airline will start selling tickets at discounts of up to 50 percent for domestic flights.
They will apply for travel between September 7 and October 27.
One-way tickets will cost VND207,000, exclusive of tax, on the HCMC-Danang route, and VND300,000 on the HCMC-Hue and Hanoi-Danang routes.
The fare from HCMC to Hai Phong and Vinh will be VND600,000 and to Hanoi will be VND650,000.
The promotion will be available until May 10.
Jetstar Pacific used to be known as Pacific Airlines until May 2008 when Australia’s Qantas Airways bought an 18 percent stake in it.
The airline, in which Qantas has since increased its stake to 27 percent, operates some 40 domestic flights daily.
