Hanoi to savor European cuisine
The annual European Food Festival to be held in
Hanoi May 22 will offer locals a chance to enjoy a wide selection of foods and
beverages from the continent.
The festival, in its fifth year, is part of “Europe Days,” a series of 10
cultural events, ranging from a painting exhibition and film screenings to
symphony and jazz concerts, to mark Europe Day, May 9.
Some well-known hotels and hospitality service providers like the Hotel Sofitel
Legend Metropole Hanoi, Melia Hanoi Hotel, Sunway Hanoi Hotel, Mercure Hanoi La
Gare, wine distributor Red Apron, and French retailer Big C have registered to
take part in the event.
They will bring to the venue, the National Library on Trang Thi Street, a range
of foods and drinks like paella, lasagna and spaghetti, pizza, and popular
German beer Bitburger.
Belgian DJ and magician Bruno Marchal will perform at the festival.
A kids' corner will feature games and other entertainment activities.
Entrance tickets, costing VND200,000 (US$10.50), are available at the festival
venue, the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, and the Pane E Vino
Restaurant in Hanoi. Entrance is free for children under 10.
Europe Days is organized by the Delegation of the European Union and the
embassies of the 27 EU members.
