Vietnam culture and tourism festivals planned in Japan and RoK
The Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism is
considering a plan to organize Vietnam culture and tourism festivals in Japan
and the Republic of Korea (RoK), with the participation of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh
City (HCMC), Danang, Quang Nam, and Thua Thien – Hue.
As scheduled, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate with
the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry(VCCI) and the national flag carrier
Vietnam Airlines to organize the festival in Tokyo, Japan from June 22nd to 24th
and in Seoul, RoK from June 25th to 27th.
The festival will include seminars to promote tourism, trade investment and
aviation, traditional art performances, exhibitions and fairs to introduce
tourism products and gastronomy. Specifically, the festival will focus on
advertising the 1,000th Thang Long – Hanoi anniversary.
Promoting Vietnam culture and tourism in Japan and RoK would be offered
favorable support and be prioritized because both countries are major tourism
markets of Vietnam. Japan has put Vietnam into the list of its 10 must-see
destinations while the number of RoK tourists to Vietnam is on the rise and they
are increasingly high-income.
