Mekong Delta’s land and people on display in HCMC
A photo exhibition called The Cooperative
Achievements in Economy between the Mekong Delta and HCMC opened on Tuesday at
Lam Son Park, opposite the HCMC Opera House, 7 Lam Son Square in HCMC’s District
1.

Organized by the secretariat board of the Mekong Delta Economic Cooperation in
collaboration with the HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Mekong
Delta cities and provinces, the exhibition features the participation of 13
Mekong Delta provinces and HCMC with 120 photos selected from hundreds sent to
the organizers.
The exhibition depicts people, daily life, landscapes, economic achievements and
cooperation with HCMC. “The exhibition expects to introduce Saigonese and
tourists to images of the Mekong Delta which is endowed with abundant potentials
in agriculture, seafood, shipping, ecotourism and ethnic culture. The economic
cooperation with HCMC, the country’s biggest economic and trading hub, marks the
significant development of the Mekong Delta’s economy and society,” said Nguyen
Trung Tin, vice chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee, at the opening.
The exhibition runs till June 14.
