Architectural design for German House in HCMC to be explored
The Academy for Architectural Culture (AAC) and
the Vietnam Architects’ Association (VAA) is to jointly host an architecture
workshop, “German House in Ho Chi Minh City”, from June 11th to 26th, in Hanoi.
As part of the "Germany in Vietnam 2010" programme, the workshop’s aim is to
explore architectural designs for a new German Consulate and Cultural Centre,
the German House, in Ho Chi Minh City.
24 Vietnamese and German participants will work in 6 groups to share experience
and expertise. Internationally renowned lecturers will contribute to the subject
matter with a variety of background information and insights into their work
experience. They will actively participate in the evaluation of the course.
Lectures delivered at the workshop, will constitute a forum not only between
architecture and other fields but also between the AAC and those who are
interested in architecture.
An exhibition will present the results of the 2010 AAC workshop from June 27th
to July 8th at the Goethe Institute in Hanoi.
