Lotuses flood Hue city
This year the ancient city of Hue lost the lotus
crop, but visitors to the Hue Festival 2010 seemed to see lotuses flooding the
city.
Up to four exhibitions about lotus were held at the same time in the city,
including a photo exhibition named “The Charm of Lotus” by Tran Bich at Century
Hotel on Le Loi Road. The other exhibitions included a photo exhibition called
“Lotus” by Dao Hoa Nu at the park on the foot of Truong Tien bridge, a painting
exhibition entitled “64 Lotuses” by Nguyen Ly at Romane Hotel on Nguyen Thai Hoc
Street, and an installation art exhibition by paper-made lotuses by Than Van Huy
at the Thanh Tien paper flower garden.
Lotuses not only “blossomed” at the exhibitions, but they were present at many
other events, such as a lacquer exhibition by artist Vo Xuan Huy at No. 4 Hanoi
road and on Hue’s street and Huong River.
