Sapphire tortoise to be presented to the capital of Hanoi

A sapphire tortoise, weighing nearly 2 tonnes, presented and owned by the DOJI Gold and Gems Group, was showcased at the Ruby Plaza Trade Center on the occasion of the center’s 3rd birthday on June 30th.
Carved over 200 days from a 6 tonne monolithic sapphire, the Divine Tortoise, 46cm tall, 1.73m long and 1.1m wide, is mounted on a white stone stand. On the two sides of the stand are parallel sentences affirming that the sacred tortoise retains a sense of purpose and uprightness after a thousand years, and a precious gem remains beautiful and bright forever, even after tens of thousands of years.
Nicknamed “Precious Gem Divine Tortoise”, the tortoise is considered the most valuable and the heaviest in Vietnam by local precious gem experts.
Mr. Do Minh Phu, the CEO of the DOJI Gold and Gems Group, the Divine Tortoise is of spiritual significance, representing immortality and peace.
The divine tortoise is scheduled to be presented to the capital of Hanoi before the great anniversary of 1,000 years of Thang Long-Hanoi.
