Prize-winning photos go on display
The best photos from the 5th tourism photo contest
entitled Viet Nam – My Homeland are on display at the Exhibition House in Ha Noi.
The contest was jointly organised by the Viet Nam Tourism Review and the Viet
Nam Artistic Photographers Association to promote tourism during Ha Noi’s
1,000th anniversary and National Tourism Year 2010.
Entries including 4,426 colour and black-and-white photographs from 456
Vietnamese and foreign photographers.
The organising board selected the 138 best photos and presented awards to the
top 17. A special prize went to a series of photographs entitled Cong Chieng Tay
Nguyen (Gongs of the Central Highlands) by Ta Quang Bao from Ha Noi.
The contest entries were asked to reflect the uniqueness, beauty and variety in
the life and culture of the Vietnamese people, as well as tourist areas,
traditional festivals, and heritage, cultural preservation, and historic sites
throughout the country.
The exhibition runs through Monday at the Exhibition House, 29 Hang Bai Street,
Ha Noi.
