Winners of ‘Vietnam-My Homeland’ photo contest honoured

Photographer Ta Quang Bao won the grand prize in the fifth National Tourism Artistic Photo Contest with his set of photos entitled ‘Central Highlands Gongs’.
One first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and 10 consolation prizes were also given out at the awards ceremony held in Hanoi.
The contest, launched in October 2009, attracted over 4,400 entries from 456 photographers, 136 of which are now on display at the Exhibition Hall at No.29 Hang Bai Street, Hanoi.
Under the theme ‘Vietnam – My Homeland’, the entries reflected the uniqueness, beauty and culture of the Vietnamese people, as well as tourist areas, historic sites, traditional festivals and craft villages throughout the country.
The event was held jointly by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Vietnam Tourism Review Magazine and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam’s tourism sector.
